Job Role

Monitoring , inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve the manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality cylinder production. This role ensures compliance with ISO standards and customer specifications, with a focus on welding quality, dimensional accuracy, hydrostatic testing, and overall product safety.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect and verify raw materials, in-process production, and finished cylinders for compliance with company and ISO 9001 standards.

Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and systems for cylinder production, including welding and hydrostatic testing.

Conduct and oversee non-destructive testing (NDT), including visual inspection, ultrasonic testing, and dye penetrant tests, especially on weld joints.

Ensure all documentation is up to date, including inspection reports, calibration records, test certificates, and ISO compliance logs.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues on the shop floor.

Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs), such as defect rates, rework rates, and audit findings.

Support internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 and customer audits.

Train production staff on quality procedures and standards.

Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for any non-conformities.

Maintain calibration schedules and ensure all testing and inspection equipment are within calibration.

Requirements

Relevant qualification

Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality control role, preferably in pressure vessel or cylinder manufacturing.

Strong understanding of welding processes, standards (e.g., ASME, ISO 9001), and material inspection.

Experience with quality control tools such as FMEA, 8D, SPC, and root cause analysis.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and documentation.

Proficient in reading engineering drawings and using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).

Certification in NDT or welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP, ASNT) is a plus.
